The child sat on the stone frame of the window of the only wall still standing, among the ruins of the ancient castle. While engrossed observing his dangling legs, unnecessary pendulums of a non-existent clock, something passed running, touching unintentionally his feet with the ears.
The scene was pretty weird: a huge black wolf was chasing a small diaphanous rabbit through the vast moor; the scene was too exiting for the child who immediately followed them, leaving his common sense on the stone frame.
Surely something magic was happening, for the rabbit was obviously a ghost and he wondered why the wolf was wasting so much time and energy with a prey he could not eat.
The black creature heard telepathically the question and in the same way answered:
